    Hanna C203 / 83203 Reagents Swap

Hi. Regretably i bought a second hand Hanna C203 from Ebay a month or so ago. The seller made it clear that it didn't have all of the reagents, so i've no issue with them.

I naively assumed i could just purchase the necessary reagents from Hanna. This isn't the case. Despite repeated attempts (and with Manky Sanke's best efforts) i haven't been able to find the chlorine reagent and Hanna have been unable/un-willing to give me a link to the reagent.

I wondered if any of you could supply me with the necessary reagents i need? PLEASE? Just a few to get me going. I am willing to pay or swap for the reagents i do have.

I'm not even 100% sure what it will test for. I think the reagents i am missing are:

    Chlorine
    Dissolved Oxygen
    Copper
    Phosphate
    Nitrate

Nor do i know whether they come in liquid or powder form.

I DO have enough nitrite LR reagent to test every forum members pond ! BUT it goes out of date Feb 2015 so really you'll be doing me a favour if you'll swap me just a few of the reagents above for some nitrite LR sachets. I am willing to post mine out first

Or if you could sell me some that would be fine.

Chlorine is the most urgent as i am relying on the EA cartridge not running out at the mo. I got some DPD4 tablets but it says they are for testing oxygen.

This is my last throw of the dice. If nobody can swap or sell me any, then the C203 will be up for sale.

    Thanks

    Justin,

I'm not sure why you are still having a problem. I use both the c203 and the HI-83203 and have no trouble obtaining reagents. I spoke to David Richards, the Hanna technical guy, on your behalf and he emailed you to say that the chlorine reagent you need is HI-93711-01.

It is available on this link:
    Total Chlorine Reagent, DPD Method

The low range ammonia reagent is HI-93700-01 and is available on this link:
    Ammonia Low Range Reagents

In answer to your post on here on Sunday, Frich has kindly listed all the reagents for the full range of tests for the HI-83203, (which are the same as the reagents for the c203 as I've already said), and his reply is on this link:
    http://www.koiforum.co.uk/water-trea...momia-kit.html

The test I came up with to test for low levels of chlorine using DPD4 tablets is very simple but it has to be done correctly and is explained in full detail, (including the fact that the tablets will also slowly react to dissolved oxygen), on my website on this page:

Thanks Manky ! He did tell me which ones were required but when i searched for them on the Hanna site, it stated "0 results found". I tried with a dash, without a dash, etc, etc

Now i have links i can hopefully go straight to the reagents. Thank you for all your help with this. You've been very patient and an absolute star.
    .
Do you need any nitrite LR reagents? I could test several times a day between now and Feb and still have plenty left !

    Thanks for the offer Justin,

Taking away and testing members water samples for free whenever I do club talks or pond water samples given to me at koi shows can get a bit expensive and I'll have plenty of samples to test in the next few weeks so any contributions will be gratefully received.

But the "use by" dates on the reagents are very conservative so keep a good six month supply beyond the date on the reagents and I'll appreciate any that you have left over. I'll email you my address.
