Thread: "Closing down sale"

After keeping Koi for nearly thirty years we have decided that age and decripitude are against us and need to find a good home for our koi and equipment before this pleasant hobby becomes a chore.
We have nine large koi each about 600mm long. Most have been with us for ten years or more. Judging by the standards of the fish on here they are nothing special. I have attached a general shot to give you a flavour and am happy to do more detailed photos for those interested. I have also included a general shot of the pond. (The wooden decking has since been replaced with "plastic", non-rot decking)
In addition to the fish there is quite a bit of relatively expensive kit. This comprises a Draco Drum Solum 16 drum (with newly-replaced stepper motor), a matching Draco Bio Unit with media, (these latter coming up to five years old), a Swell variable flow pump (less than a year old) , a HiBlow Air Pump (quite old but still going strong) and various other bits of kit. I have included a photo of the Draco kit being installed in 2018
I really have no idea what all this lot is worth but the drum, filter and pump to buy new would be around £1,800. To be honest for me it is not about maximising the sale price but ensuring that it goes to a "good home". I would rather sell everything as one lot and not be cherry-picked. I live in South Derbyshire, just 10 mins from East Midland Airport.
That's it really. There is no urgency on my part to part with all this but I can't keep procrastinating for ever about the inevitable. Over to you.

Everyone else. I forgot to add that there is also a UV (cant remember the make but it is 45 watts and is of the tubular stainless steel type), an Oase pump for the skimmer and a Pondvac (bought last year).
