Hi buddy,
Just a crazy thought as you are offering for free ! The round pond in Kensington gardens would make a great home for those koi. I believe it’s 200m x 150m. Pretty decent sized pool ! Im in central london and would be happy to collect and relocate, what do you think ?

Hi Carlos
I dont think you can just dump them in the Pond without permission I am sure they would do well in there as well.

I know Graham Dillamore, the manager of all the Royal Gardens including Kensington Park from having been asked to visit the Princess Diana Memorial pond at Kensington Palace in the park a couple of times to give them advice about water quality and maintenance. He's a very nice man but I can say that he'd be pretty upset if anyone dumped any fish in any of the ponds or in the Serpentine lake.

samp009 is correct, you can't move fish without a permit and health checks are required. This used to involve killing 2 specimens for inspection, but I don't know if this applies.
Also it is a health risk to the carp population already residing in these lakes.6,000 gallons, aerated bottom drains, Duratec heat pump, Profidrum, Biomax 50, Bakki shower

Well you learn something new every day !
I’m so sorry gents, please excuse my ignorance. My misguided intentions were honourable. That’s why I’m so pleased to be on this forum. It’s an education from real enthusiasts on how care about koi.
I often walk around that pond and thought it would look pretty amazing with some decent fish in there. I don’t actually understand why it’s not stocked ?
Apologies again !

Some big ones as well, Diana Pond in Bushy Park believe it or not was (might still be) home to some proper monsters.
Back then a park permit was about £20, now it’s nearly £1000 to fish Virginia Water.
