    Closing down pond

I have decided to shut the pond down as I just donít take any time to appreciate it anymore with work and kids.

I have some decent quality fish some with and some without certificates between 30 - 65cm and a decent setup with thermotec air source, large shower with genuine BHM, large moving bed, solum 25 drum, etcÖ

Has anyone every successfully sold an entire setup? As mine is a raised sleeper build it would effectively be a case of digging a hole the same sizeÖ

Agreed, and considering the effort put into so far too, but hey you need to do what's best for family

With my marathon running, kids and work I literally havenít looked at the pond for a month or two I would guess. I think having the drum and heating has taken any maintenance out of the hobby it is too hands off now.

    shame you're selling up mate,
but know where your coming from, starting a family is why i only had a koi pond for 7 years in the 90's...
took all this time later until they're grown up and given me all these grey hairs lol!
before i could start again, and have the time to spend in the garden.

selling in one swoop sounds like an easy way to go...
but i would imagine it would be a logistical nightmare, unless the buyer already had somewhere to house the fish,
then about a weeks work or more to dissassemble the pond?

Yeah I agree and doubt it will be that easy. Hopefully in time I can get back to it but my kids are 4 and 6 so need some serious time on all their clubs and interests. I also run and the last 8 weeks I have done 5 Marathons which basically take the whole weekend up.

Between £200 and £500. I will try and get them all bowled, measured and photographed over the weekend and add another post.

Added the pond to Facebook marketplace and had about 50 messages already. Seems best thing is to sell the fish and then everything else separately after.
