2 Important events in the Koi World coming soon !

1st and foremost:
All Japan Koi Show 31st January and 1st February 2009

Then: Momotaro Koi Auction 3rd February 2009

1 year I would love to attend these !
BUT I would also like to go at the end of October for the Autumn Harvest !!!
AND I would also like to go to see the Temple / Zen Gardens around the Kyoto region in Spring when the cherry blossom and azalia / rhododendrons are in flower !
I think it would be just cheaper to move to Japan !
we could ALL move !
we could swap Alice for a Geisha to massage our ........................
aching feet ! after walking round all the breeders ponds and those magnificent temple gardens ...................
now when is the next Lotto day ? I need a ticket ....................

Oh ! I was having a wonderful dream ...............
we were all in Japan ............. no love, NOT you ! you stayed home to feed my Koi and keep those filters clean !!!

Carl was upsetting the breeders by giving his Koi away for free !
and doing the 3 leg' d race around the Temple Gardens, .... those blue pills !!!

Nosmo was hogging the Geisha ! not sharing as usual ! ... just like Alice !

Koimaster was caught fishing in Sakai 's mud ponds !!!

Lazarus, ..... as usual, .....nowhere to be seen ! .........
I expect he's trying to spell "spam" in Japanese !!!

I told Flipp NOT to bring Matron .......... she's nagging him to death ! ......
I can hear her now ......

Some beautiful Koi there, as well as yours Mark,
Momotaro are always good quality in my opinion.
How have they grown this summer ?

well this is in your little dream i wish i had them but they caught up with me as i was the only one in hospital with a shot peppered arse lol and had to return them

then if interested, you need to contact a registered koi dealer to bid on your behalf,
preferably one who will be physically there in Japan !

Pictures are nice,
BUT..... they don't really show imperfections,
and don't do justice to the all -important body shape !
Body shape is much more important than pattern or size !

To my surprise Deron Simons who has judged in Japan by invitation !
told me that:

" Body shape is equally as important as pattern and size put together !!! "

It was a surprise to me !
it cropped up in discussion of the merits of a koi,
thanks Deron for teaching me that !
