Koi not coming round after sesation
Help please. We had to treat a Koi this evening and it behaved really oddly in the sedation bowl so we just did a quick propolis treatment. The koi has been in an airstream for 15 minutes and no sign of life. We have done the pulling backwards. At what point do we call it a day 😔

Sorry to hear this Denise, did you accurately dose the sedation as over doing it can kill the fish, but also if the fish was really unwell it may have been too weak to come back round

We always use less than the stated amount and we had treated another Koi a few minutes before. The one that passed started thrashing about in the solution and was no way going under. We just used propolis whilst holding the Koi then returned to a basket with masses of aeration. 40 minutes of moving the fish backwards and forwards but no sign of life. I’m glad we have done this quite a few times before because if this had happened the first time we would have given up altogether. Feel so sad 😢
