split lip
hi all
back from holiday fish have being put in a temp pond while we were away, new pond build and total garden. ive checked fish this morning and a utsuri has a split bottom lip its hanging off. no idea why or how. fish seems fine still swimming around not sulking.
how do i treat it ?

Are you comfortable with sedating fish? I’d suggest netting it, sedate and assess damage. For hanging bits should cut off with clean sharp iris or dental scissors, then iodine, then back in pond.
Also good to dose Virkon till it starts healing showing white tissue

you may need to sucha if a big split or glue.The treat as ulcer ,anti-bat and sealer.
