    Win in filter sock

Whilst cleaning this morning found this worm like creature

    Any clues

It’s moving about like a maggot, did a video but can’t upload it

    Thanks
    Scott

Hard to tell from the pic. It could be a leech?

Washed it away now, if I come across another I’ll try and get better images

Any concern if it’s a leech?

I don't really know about koi as they're delicate little things.

But I've caught carp when fishing in the winter with leeches on. I think they pick them up by them sitting inactive on the lake bed due to the cold.

The carp don't seem physically affected by them. Although I imagine it causes them to jump and flash to shake them off.
