NT Labs - malachite
So I have bought the above and it shows it’s 1% Malachite green, on Duncan’s page he states 2%. So I assume I should just double the dose?

So NT Labs instructions state 10 ml per 176 gallons (800 litres) which is 1% Malachite.
Duncan shows Malachite green 2% 10ml per 176 U.K.gallons
I've done it now and doubled the dose to give 2%. Pond is very blue, but can still see the fish on the camera!

The Dosage I have written down for 2% solution is:
12.5ml per 220 gallons
For 36% Formaldehyde I have 20ml per 220 gallons between 12C and 17.5CLast edited by RS2OOO; 08-05-2020 at 12:33 AM.

How are your fish doing with the extra strength MG?
Just out of interest, what is it you are treating? I saw from your video that you have sturgeon, so am guessing that's why you've not gone for fmg.
I've got Trich but also have sturgeon, so am working out what I should use to treat it with. Was thinking chloramine T, followed by MG.

I use TAP malachite and formalin
It's 50ml of each per 1000 gallons but for difficult cases dosage can be doubled

I never know what to trust with UV instructions.
E.g
Fluke solve says leave UV on.
Fluke S I believe is exactly the same stuff but says turn UV off.
And there's lots of similar contradictions with other meds.
Yet not a single one says bypass drum.

I hsve moved the Sterlet and Orfes into a temporary pond and treated the main pond with Malachite green and Formalin. I am treating for chilodonella.
So far the fish seem fine, and have not noticed any flashing.
I have left the UV off.

I used to take my orfs Rudd and tench out the pond and treat with mg&f. Easy to catch then. On my old pond
On this pond 7 feet deep. 6 feet of water
Nightmare to catch them. Unless I empty the pond to a foot of water.
So last year I treat the pond with them in.
And they came through the treatment ok.
I must admit I was crapping my pants
And right now I am treating for flukes.
Ct first. And now fluke m. And there ok after a week.
That's rudd. Tench. Orfs. Grass carp. Plus the koi. I can t speak for sturgeon though as I have never kept them.

In regards to the sterlet and Orfes I am struggling to find any information on what to treat them with.
The pond has started to clear now and its day 4, but I have noticed some are still flashing. I will do a second treatment 7 days later then rescrape.

For treating sturgeon check out this guide (scroll down to treatments to avoid section): https://www.pond-life.me.uk/sturgeon/sturgeonguide
It's a very informative guide.
For Orfe, I'm not sure what can be used. But I know NT labs have a range of treatments that are designed to be used for general pond fish i.e. so are generally weaker than koi strength treatments. These might be worth a shout. I know their eradic treatment comes from that stable of products.
If their website doesn't make it clear if they're safe to use with Orfe, maybe contact nt labs and ask.

So I did a 10% water change last night then left my trickle in running at 1L per min over night. I am now onto the second treatment of MandF.
I have seen fish flashing over the course of the week but not sure if this is something else like flukes or just general irritation from the chemicals.
I’m thinking I will add salt to the sterlet and orfes after reading that article, as I have salt and a salt meter.
