Injured fish/deformed back
Took covers off this morning an noticed a fish with deformed back, also on injury to side of fish. It’s the parachina in the pictures. Last time I sawB508283E-BCF2-4AFD-981C-FDF63E59DEB0.jpg0A34BE09-28DD-4FD1-9F1A-64775BBAA719.jpg something like was an orfe that reacted to treatments. No treatments gone in for 2 years. Only have a bottom drain in pond that it could injure itself on. I take the covers off for a day when weather is ok but I still have the not on. Was wondering if it could be a heron strike but herons have been nowhere near pond for several years since putting the net on. Decided to monitor for next few days before topically treating wound. Any ideas of causeEF806ABF-8E5E-4EE6-97A1-C20A47552B02.jpg

Check you haven't got an electrical leak from your pump or uv.

Net always left on when covers come off (predictive text on last post) . Not the best picture of wound, it does look more like a wound In real life it’s like a slash other than an ulcer as the picture may show. Always difficult to get the exact picture a live fish

Thanks Andy, not sure how I can check for an electrical leak, all pumps are dry run with no electrical cables in contact with water UV seems fine with no breach in the system, suppose I could check the quatz sleeve. Do I have the right understanding of an electrical leak. All other fish are fine and the one in question has been competing for food well today
Cheers

If more fish become arrested then that might a sign. I went a pond and half the fish were bent like yours. The seal of his easypod uv hadn't been fitted properly

Thanks Andy, I am starting to think that it is injury related as the gash is in the same area as the deformity
