    Volunteer list

Here is a list of kind people who are willing to help out in whatever way they can, be it via a phone call or a pond visit. You can PM the volunteers or ask for help via a post, just a couple of things to bear in mind though......

Anyone asking for help would need to understand that we all have a life and could not expect any volunteer to drop everything to go and help out at a moments notice.

Anyone asking for help would need to provide the basic equipment, ie nets, bowls and treatment mats if nessesary. I would think most of us willing to help will have the rest of the gear needed. Out of pocket expenses would be expected to be covered, ie any treatments supplied and used by the volunteer and any fuel/travel costs incurred.

And finally any advice or treatments followed would be entirely the responsibility of the Koi's owners/persons asking for help and done at their own risk.

Sadly Peter, Dawn ( Kanundra ) hasn't been on the forum for about 3 yrs. Maybe put you're request on the General
Section '' need help '' and the area where you live, you might have a bit more luck there
This section needs updating really and maybe moving to a more prominent place

    Hi All
I was hoping someone can help me out I have a 1400 gallon pond with approx 14 fish which I have had up and running with no issues for the last 10 years. Unfortunately just over a week ago 2 of my fish died suddenly and a third was upside down on the bottom who has sadly also died yesterday. Today I have now found another with the same issues but is still alive. All the others seem ok at the moment.
So a week ago when I found the first 2 I checked my parameters using NT labs and found the following NH3-0.5, NO2-0.25, NO3-30, PH6, KH2 and GH10. Since then I have done approx 3 x 10% water changes and now my readings are as follows NH3-0.25, NO2-0.25, NO3-30, PH7.5, KH4 and GH10. My knowledge of koi illness is very limited so obviously I am very concerned I have tried to contact my local koi supplier but I think due to covid it's closed?(Brentwood Essex)
It looks like they are suffering from Swim bladder issues but that's just a pure guess, I did have an old guy who use to advise me a few years ago but unfortunately he has passed away now!
The only thing I can think of that might have caused the PH drop is the amount of rain we had a few weeks back?
If anyone thinks they can help me or has any ideas what to do I would very appreciate their advise
    Thanks Mark

Especially as I know one of the volunteers has moved house and lives over a hundred miles away from the area.
