    sleeping sickness advice on salt

First time iv'e had this disease and very worried, fish are laying on the bottom and not active or eating.
Pond is 4000 gallons and wanting info on how much salt to put in? Iv'e no way to heat or move the fish so just working with the ambiant water temp.
Please help as i'm very worried Ron.

P.S. Is there anything else i could use apart from salt?

For 4000 gallons, salting from no salt present. dump two bags in (50kg) over your air source (stone / bar whatever you use) and test 24hours later. You'll probably need a third bag, but easier to add than remove.
3070 Gallons. 4" Bottom Drain and Skimmer. Draco Solum 16 Drum. Anoxic Filtration. Air lift returns.

To begin with, is it really a sleeping disease?
If they are simply lying down, there is also the possibility of other infections, such as Columnaris.
If it really is a sleeping sickness, wouldn’t it be viral in nature, meaning the general public wouldn’t be able to identify it using a standard microscope?
However, it is possible to distinguish it based on its characteristic symptoms.

Does it have sunken eyes like this?
If you try to catch it with a net or similar, does it swim around frantically?
