All being well the new pond starts to be built next week.
so lets start with a new water testing kit among over things
any recommendations welcome

I use all electronic meters but I was asked to product test some manual test kits and the API Freshwater Master Kit proved as accurate as you can expect from a manual kit. They aren’t the cheapest but they are accurate and very economic because you get generous amounts of reagents so you don’t have to keep buying replacements. You can buy the API Freshwater Master kit and the matching KH kit on eBay for under £40 on the links below:

If you don't mind spending some money, the JBL test kits are the best liquid tests I've ever owned. Always very easy to get an accurate reading.
