    Fluke treatment

Has anyone used Duncans treatments for flukes

    Levamisole
    Fx1
    Prazi
Undecided which to use for skin flukes.

Many thanks but want this to work as SV has failed for me.

    Hi John,
I found last year when treating with SV most of the fish were cleared, in two doses over 2 weeks. that is gill flukes though not skin.
but a couple were completely unaffected, and still infested with over 50 flukes per slide.

these went into an intex pool of fresh water with just an airstone, one full dose of SV two days later both fish were 100% clean.
one full dose (not a freshly shaken dose of SV) as it expandes about 20% once shaken and you have to portion a dose off into another bottle, and let it settle.
then add a bit more if the level drops. very easy to under dose imo.

skin flukes are a bugger nowadays, more resistant strains every year...

prior to that I used prazi liqud, at an over dosed rate.
but the fish struggled more with that, than the SV.

Thanks Dave, didnt find they struggled with the SV and I put in 2 x doses 3 days apart with no effects.

So I dont want to mess about with chemicals as I dont like useing them but needs must.
Maybe looking to the fx1 as it stays in the water for a week or so but I dont know what it is.
    John
