Egg bound female

She has been on the bottom for a while so got her out.
She has a few raised scales and quite swollen decided to treat her.

Sedated and tried to gently squeeze the eggs out without success,I know you can do damage but I was very gentle and didnt see what other options I had.

Treated her raised scales and put her back in the pond and she is moving about a bit now but not right.
Would a salt bath help,if so at what strength?

I cant heat her as I have fry in there.
Anything else I can do?

If you do a salt bath you can go up to 0.9%, but no higher.

Are you quite sure she's egg bound?

There's someone on eBay selling Ovaprim, but using it has its risks.

Aside from that I don't know what to suggest.

After I lost my Kirin and had a post mortem there was loads of fat blocking the spawning ducts so nothing I could have done.

But the fact yours has raised scales indicates an infection is already present, assuming she really is egg laden and the raised scales are due to the eggs decomposing. In that situation I don't think there's a lot you can do without calling a fish vet out to administer antibiotics and induce spawning, but if like mine here ducts are blocked I don't think there's anything you can do.

Could be jumping to a few conclusions here and there's a few assumptions, but I'm assuming she definitely is egg bound and the raised scales are related.

Salt is the only tool that might help, but when I gave mine salt baths the vet said I was wasting my time and she turned out to be right.

Thanks for your replies,not 100% she is egg bound but she is quite large there and it looks infected.
Put a good dose of virkon aquatic in the pond and she has perked up a bit but not interested in anything and swimming slowly.

Hows her breathing rate john?

I only ask as in my situation she had quite laboured breathing and this went on for weeks before she died.

Did you brush tamodine into the raised scales?

Appreciate everyone and every pond is different, but in an otherwise healthy pond I probably wouldn't have gone down the Virkon route.

She is opening and closing her mouth in breathing but she has been swimming round today be it slowly and she took some food.

Did put Tamodine on Steve.
