Flukes and best treatment lernex or lernex pro

Hi All after adjusting scope and clearly seeing flukes, previously not seeing anything. In your experiences what would be best for sorting these out. After loosing a few this summer what would be best treatment at these falling temps in unheated pond, also reading comments regarding super flukes, Many thanks in advance Dean

I'm really starting to believe there is no one good treatment for flukes.

There is no consistent reports of a specific treatment working for everyone.

For example, Fluke Solve and Fluke P did nothing for my flukes yet Lernex wiped them out fast.

So I recommended the Lernex to a few people this year but it didn't work for them, yet treatments that failed for me are working for other people.

I suspect that, and there's enough evidence indicating, different strains of flukes are resistant to different medications.

agree with you there mate. or different systems and set ups could be having an affect with different treatments. but one thing is for sure, your spot on. with the killing of these blighters.

Personally I would initially decide (if nothing has been used before leading to a positive or negative result) based on how severe the infestation is, filter maturity, temperature and size/age of fish.

RS is right, different treatments have led to differing results this year with Flukes in particular constantly this year.

    Cheers
