    Nexus Critters

Hi, my nexus 220 seems to be a breeding ground for some little critters. I have no idea on the species. Striped fly like larvae, They seem to be colonising in the eazy section. Is this anything to worry about and if so how do I go about eradicating the blighters?

If there was an industry for breeding flies / harvesting fly larvae, then Nexus sales would quadruple.

In fact I have been more impressed by its fly reproduction capabilities than its ability to maintain pond water clarity.

I keep scraping the critters from the rim of the outlet pipe with a stick and feed them to the fish, they love the protein boost

there's a firm in Bristol breeding them and then using them as a organic feed for their fish stocks

I suspect due to fluke treatments mate as that is what I found when I treated hard for flukes, no larvae at all for the rest of that year.

Agree. But nothing flying either like midges.
Strange. Last year I had to wear a hat when going into shed and filter house. This year nothing.
