    Carp Pox

    Can it be treated ? i have one fish with this issue on its fins, others are not effected, no quarantine available, will it go once immune system picks up in the warmer weather?

    Yeah mate just a warmth thing really I have a chag that has had it the last 2 winters doesn't bother it . And its non contagious

    No mate I dont heat . Some thing i think about every winter just to keep them safer but just more money

    Yeah like everything in these hobbies Carp Pox

    You don’t have to keep them that warm though do you and you can run ASHP’s cheaper than boilers these days - might even be able to claim the RHI too which will help pay for it.

    I suspect it is contagious mate.

    In my first year keeping Koi only 1 had it, but each subsequent year a few more get it.

    oh really RS, thats a worry, read conflicting information some say it is, some say unsure, some not ,so what have you done about it ?

    What I have read and learned. Is it cannot be treated.
    The fish will grow it's own immune system to combat it with age.
    And also cold and warm weather brings it out. And makes it go away. Cold brings it out
    Warmer it goes away. On most fish as there immune system kicks in.
