New additions Quality Nishikigoi Tosai Package
I don't normally do Tosai packages, as I like to pick my own fish, but I wanted plenty of red in the pond. With Gosanke,.usually, I can't afford what I want at Nisai /Sansai, usually if it's worked out to be a nice fish, with good body It's bloody expensive so taking chances on Tosai development is the answer to that. However, I don't know anything really about Gosanke Tosai. So I saw the Quality Nishikigoi tosai packages on you tube and they looked really nice fish, so I took a lucky dip. For £50 a fish, you can't really go wrong.
Not totally convinced on the 'red' Karashigoi, but we'll see what the colour does as it grows. It's lovely, but It looks identical to my Mango Karashi which I love, but I already have one, so I probably wouldn't have picked it, in favour of something else red. -google does seem to concur that the red comes with age, so we'll see.
Marudo Kohaku is a 3 step / 2 step depending on what happens behind the head, but the back bone on it is immense! I didn't notice how tall it was until put it in the pond.
Nice tejimi on the fins of the sanke shows potential
The showa seems dependant on the sumi development to balance it out (but don't the all!). It has a lot of Beni! Which could be nice as its a very different style to my other showa from Byers.
So horses for courses and looking forward to seeing how they all come on.
Red karashi 27cm (Marusei I think)
Kohaku 24cm (Marudo)
Sanke 23cm (Shintaro)
Showa 22cm (Shintaro)
Goshiki 20cm (Aoki)

I don't know anything about Goshiki, other than I like the floating Beni, without any pattern showing through it. Which currently this is not at all that style. But again, happy to see how it develops.
It's possible it could improve to my taste? Anyone had any experience growing on goshiki?

As the kohaku grows, that beni might break away into a pretty awesome 3 step pattern.
Gotta be honest. Although you have done well, I would want to choose my own fish, even if they were £3.00 goldfish
