Thread: New Addition - Wada Kirin 50cm Female

This Koi is still in Japan, being shipped imminently and hopefully ready to collect in Spring.

For anyone who's read lots of my posts, you'll know I have a real soft spot for this relatively new variety and originally purchased one from the first known batch to arrive in the UK.

She was the stand out Koi in my Pond with so much vibrancy and presence, and after growing her from 22cm to 70cm in 4 years she unfortunately became egg bound and I was truly gutted to lose her back in 2023, worse that it was the exact same time I lost my Dad.

Since then I've been on the hunt for a suitable replacement, and couldn't believe it when I joined a Koi Dealer's Japan buying chat group and the very first Koi he put on the group was exactly what I'd always pictured as the perfect Kirin! It was surreal. I've never reserved a Koi so fast.
