    Kujaku, Ochiba, and Shiro

    dug out my old DSLR and took a couple of pics,
    forgot how much better you can get the pics compared to a phone,
    chosing your own iso, shutter speed, and aperture....

    Stunning fish. Itís seeing things like this that make me want to carry on after the year I have had with koi keeping.

    One the lads had his own business wedding photos and all that always get him round for little legs b day that but he wrapping in now must have about 8 all singing all dancing cameras might have to see about robbing one lol haha but even the best one in the world will still give a crap photo if you have crap fish lol

    Got the SLR out to try the video out,
    but autofocus us a pain as the mirror has to flip up. So you need to manually focus.

    And beauty is in the eye of the beholder mate...

    Maybe I should get the old Canon 6D out and see if I can get some as well although due to the lack of pergola on my pond when I tried before I struggled to get around the glare. Don't have a polarising filter currently...

    thats a stunning low light camera...
    easy to get past the glare with a fast lens at dusk

    I know the feeling mate, photography was my main hobby but the pond build has again taken over and I rarely get my camera bag out, I hate just using a phone as the quality of the pics is just so Meh to me

    agreed, phones are ok for snapshots in bright light.,
    but don't allow any control over shutter speed or aperture and low light shots are grainy and horrible.

    but they beat my old SLR's 1080p video hands down with 4k....
