Thankyou RS i'm glad you like her too . If Andrew knows you are a genuine buyer you can request him to source a particular koi for you and email you direct if anything catches his eye and you say yes or no . He definately has a very good eye and has come up trumps this time ! Thats why it does not appear on the general website but he has some seriously stunning koi on his books always love visiting his facility and viewing .!!

Firstly Happy Birthday Freddy !!
Thanks for your lovely comments .
The secret to watching your favourite koi through the window whilst drinking beer is to start early in the day and also have a B-B-Q on the go aswell that way you can last all day !!

[QUOTE=anne;312530]Hi AnnE ( with an E ) not sure what thats all about ?
I know what you mean windows have upsides and downsides too . I have been thrown into a panic a couple of times as you can see the sides of your koi clearly my Beni Kikokuryu i thought had an ulcer on its side but having rushed about and bowled it it turned out to be a scale coming through on the lateral line !! But when the sun shines through the roof of my pond and the sun rays reflect off the koi ( i hope you are imagineing this beautiful scene i am creating ) it is absolutely fantastic looking through the window one of my lifes most enjoyable bits !
If only we had some sun in this country !!

John,
The size of their quarantine facility is out of this world. I'd never heard about them before visiting and was really impressed. Talking to Gary at Gatwick and he said their business reach in the UK is much larger than you'd suspect, I understood from that they supply Koi to a number of Koi Dealers as well as joe public.
All koi go through at least 3 Months quarantine as well.
My Kirin came from them and she was the fastest growing Koi in my pond this year and clearly very healthy too.
They aren't the cheapest though. Some of their Kanno Nisai Goshiki's are siblings to those that Gatwick Koi have in stock, but they're between £100 and £200 more expensive, and to my untrained eye the quality looks the same.
The only little niggle I have with Koi & Water Gardens is their significant over-use of marketing Koi as Tategoi, especially on Tosai.
About the Kujaku, I keep looking at it too, stunning. And I don't recall seeing such a nice Kin Ki Showa before either, even on Google images there aren't many that come close to Reg's one.Last edited by RS2OOO; 28-11-2019 at 10:42 AM.

Shame they are so far from me Rs or I would visit, bumped into their site a few years ago when they were building an indoor pond and the way they did it opened your eyes and explained things so much in detail even put their heat pump indoors to see of it was ok.
Close to you though Rs.John

I should have took photos last time I went to pick up my Kirin. Fred.
Unfortunately the wife was waiting for me and I was so conscious of this it didn't cross my mind to take pics. I said, it'll only take 15 mins to collect it..... 2 Hours and a full site tour later, she was properly pi**ed off, and we drove home in silence.
She had brand new white trainers on and refused to step into the biosecurity foot washes located between buildings, thus waited in the car.

Hi John
Yes she is a female and Koi Water Gardens as RS has said are well worth a visit and their quarantine setup is second to none .
One of my favorite pastimes is watching my koi swimming about and they all have their own quirks which is great i have a Yamabuki ogonthat won't eat until i pop a couple of pellets in her mouth then she swims off to feed with all the others
Don't mind discussing koi John but feel awkward talking about money so won't go down that road thanks but if you are ever near my area i would be more than happy to welcome you with a cuppa !
Take care Reg

Very funny Freddy .
I can't get away with hiding my koi as our kitchen looks out onto the pond window as it faces the house so my wife sees them all swimming about . Also first thing in the morning if its dark outside once she puts the kitchen light on all the koi look out the window back at her which she thinks is funny as they all fight for a space !! I also brought her one of her own as she liked a Purachina i showed her on line and she loves watching it grow which is great as she is involved too now so can't complain ( well not much anyway ! )

Theres mine reggie. Exactly the same 1 meter away. From conservatory chairs.
So she knows what's in the pond.
The ones in the grow on qt in the shed she ain't got a clue. As there out of sight. Haha.
She likes looking at them in the summer.
But that's about it. She ain't that bothered about them really. She loves the pond though.
I make up for her with the fish. As I love the fish and the hobbie.
