bit of a downer
Came back from hospital yesterday after yet another operation on my left knee due to an accident when i was in the royal navy in 1982.
I have been told after living with increasing pain for 20 years there is a good likelihood i will lose my leg above the knee, they have give me 5 months to see if will improve (not a chance me thinks).
I'm not after any sympathy or anything i just feel i need to tell someone apart from my wife, and yes i'm hopping mad

Wow very sorry to hear that Brian not good news!but sounds like you are keeping your sense of humour which will help.it can also help to share this info,it certainly puts things into perspective and I for one will think twice today before I moan about something which in the scheme of things doesnt matter a toss!lets just hope in the next 5months there is an improvement but if not I'm sure you'll be ok and will cope admirably!keep us all posted, good luck.

Brian,
Don't know what to say under these circumstances except well done for sharing it with the Forum. I just wish you the very best, especially that your leg may be preserved from amputation. It is always good to hear from you - please keep going even when you may feel very low.
I know a bit about that although different experiences and reasons of course.
All the best,
Bryan
