Storage Heater Replacement Grant Question
Hi everyone,
I知 looking for some guidance on the storage heater replacement grant. I致e heard that there are grants available to help replace old, inefficient storage heaters with more energy-efficient models, but I知 unsure of the eligibility criteria and application process.
Does anyone have experience with applying for this grant? Specifically, I知 curious about how to check if I qualify, what documents are required, and if there are any specific energy-efficient models that are covered.
Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Not familiar with the scheme personally, but this is what AI said when I asked:
The UK government's ECO4 scheme provides grants to help homeowners replace old or faulty storage heaters with more efficient models. The grants can cover up to 100% of the cost of the new heater.
Eligibility
- You must own the property
- You must receive a qualifying benefit, such as Universal Credit, Child Tax Credit, or Pension Credit
- Your home must have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of C or above
- Your new storage heater must meet Building Regulations requirements and have an energy efficiency rating of at least A or B
How to apply
You can apply for a storage heater grant through a number of organizations, including:
- Storage Heater Grant: Provides grants for homeowners and tenants
- Warma UK: Provides grants to help homeowners reduce their energy bills
- Energy Efficient You Ltd: Provides grants to help low-income households improve their energy efficiency
- Energy Saving Genie: Provides grants to eligible people throughout England, Scotland, and Wales
- Affordable Warmth Scheme: Provides grants to help homeowners and tenants
- UK Energy Support: Provides grants to help people install energy efficient heaters
The grant can cover the cost of materials, labour, and other installation expenses.
