Guttering to offset bend down to down pipe.
Hi Everyone. Where my guttering leads down into a offset bend and then into the downpipe( the square type) It's peeing out, when raining. Should they be solvent welded? Thank you

They don't need to be glued or fitted with any type of mastic because the higher fitting should fit into the one below it all the way down from the gutter to the drain so when the water leaves one fitting or pipe, it's already inside just below the top of the pipe or fitting below it.
If you've assembled the whole length the correct way, the only other way it could leak is if there is a blockage causing water to fill the pipework until it overtops a pipe or fitting.

Hi Syd. You was right, were the drain pipe went into the tarmac on the drive. The tarmac around the 4" pipe under the drive had broken off and caused a blockage. Causing the water to backtrack right up the drain pipe. Thank you again.

The half wits that did our facias and guttering etc on the previous house put over long screws to hold the down pipe into the guttering and it use to catch moss and block up. I put shorter screws in and it sorted the problem
