Skin peeled of Mirror Carp.
Hi Guys, Do Mirror Carp shed patches of skin? My water tests are good, I've scrapped the Fish and it was as clean as a whistle. I've noticed my Mirror and Common seem a lot more Bullish then Koi. They just Flick, flash and jump more for no reason. There's two patches of skin missing one on the side and one at the side just before the tail fin. The skin is healing nice, no problems. Just like to hear you thoughts. Thank you

They don't shed skin no, so likely knocked themselves somewhere. I actually got mine out for a measure and look at the end of last season and as I was returning it out the blue bowl it thrashed and took a scale off pretty badly near the tail but healed up in no time and just grew another one. They are a lot hardier than koi that's for sure! I had actually been thinking that with all the issues I had if I had something bad that wiped the koi out I would just stick to mirror and commons as they really are bulletproof.

That the only problem with them, not covered in scales. They can soon pick up a nasty scrape.
