i got quite into detailing my car a few years ago.... though not recently... it's currently caked in dirt .
and i've mainly used G technique products.
the nano ceramic sealants are the way to go these days especially with wheel and paint coatings and plastics renovation.

Nice job Dave.
Black always looks the best colour when properly cleaned etc whites pretty good too but both are a nightmare to keep clean I found as they show the dirt so quickly. Greys silvers and some blues are good at not showing the dirt I've found________________________________________________

Dark blue is pretty close to black
I had a pearlescent black Evo 9 and that had reds, blues and purples in it when properly cleaned and the sun was on in when you looked at it from different angles. It wasn't like those custom colours that are referred to as flip flop I think, that completely change colour depending on the angle you look at them.________________________________________________

That's one advantage of buying new, you can pick the colour. Second hand is a little bit of a compromise sometimes. Only thing is at the moment due to waiting lists on new cars that aren't standard versions is the waiting list times which is why second hand prices are currently more than new prices for cars with all the extras on

I think pearlescent blue option on the focus rs was £3.5k on it's own so for 2 reasons I went for Stealth grey. 1 it was no additional cost and 2 it was the only colour option that wasn't metallic or pearlescent which I thought would be easier to colour match should I ever need any paint work repaired etc.
I saw a couple of STs and RSs driving around that were Stealth grey and they looked good and then I found out Lambo, Audi and a couple of other similar makes use that colour now.________________________________________________

My "detailing" means adding DIY touches that hopefully don't look like DIY touches.
If anyone's really terminally bored, see if you can spot the main ones.........

No reason to be - especially if you watch the typical YT video which goes along the lines of "Let's get hold of the worst example we can find and then slag it off"
Despite being one of the most beautiful cars ever made (and who would ever disagree with Jeremy Clarkson) they are much less expensive than most people think and at least depreciation isn't a problem
