Personally I don't like him never have got away with him but I seem to like the under dogs button perez.
I'll agree with that. End if the day its the drive that can feel the car the tyres and some times the crew think their computer knows best and won't listen especially to some one young like max seen to many red bull races lost now for shit calls from the pits Ricardo lost out loads because of it. Merc seem to read the perfect time to under pit. .. Alonso works behind the scene more than most other drives with his crew

I think it would be great to see something akin to the eighties motorcycle Pro-Am series that featured identical Yamaha RDLC's which put established racers and up and comers on identical machines, no best vehicle wins arguments there.

Would be interesting to see it done with cars nowadays too. Could be a nice spin off from F1, I'd make time to watch it.

There'd probably be no money in it if every car was identical.
The current system is better for us as punters because the technology gets developed by manufacturers in the sport to give them an edge over the competition and that technology eventually trickles down to the cars we drive and becomes affordable.
They also argue if every car was the same there'd be less overtaking etc etc.
Think Formula E cars are all the same, but I haven't really given it a proper chance since I was bored out of my brain on the very first race I watched and haven't ever watched another since.
