    FAO Anne

Anne, a long time ago you posted a recipe for a non-chemical weed killer involving white vinegar and fairy liquid - at least I think you did! If I haven’t misremembered, would you mind posting the ingredients/quantities again please? If I have misremembered, please ignore this post! Many thanks 🙏

If anne is unable to confirm or recall her recipe, assuming we are talking about blanket weed, I would recommend Aquasource Resolve. Great product, great price, works, easy to use and don’t harm the koi.

I have some available on my website.

    Cheers

Thanks Gaz but no, not blanket weed and def no vinegar + fairy liquid in the pond (even I’m not that daft!). It’s a recipe that I’m fairly sure Anne posted to deal with common garden/drive weeds without using chemicals - I can’t use chemicals as amongst other things I have a daft Boxer who would for sure poison himself!!

And probably a few more varieties that don’t immediately spring to mind...

Rocksalt kills weeds (and pretty much the soil for a few years) there was a big ass thread on hukd about it, due to Euro car parts selling 25kg bags for £3.50 or something.

Basically very good weed killer on patios, driveways etc and if you want to nuke the soil!

Best to chuck it down when it doesn't rain.

Be careful with neat salt around pets, not only can it burn the skin but can cause poisoning when ingested, which happens when they are in contact then groom themselves.
