Another love if my life on hold
Prior to COVID 19, the love of my life was photography, but since lockdown that all changed and now photography has been put on hold while I play with my new pond.
Anyway my photography stuff can be seen here

Some lovely pictures there Neil
You have a nice eye framing the compositions whether it’s the wildlife or landscape.
Will wait to see some new koi shots, no pressure

Some great photos there Neil. I enjoy wildlife photography. I have very recently upgraded my kit to the Nikon D500. Nothing exotic to snap here in Oxford
I know a little controversial posting a photo of the dreaded heron, but this photo I snapped really showed it’s grace

Another love if my life on hold
We get a lot of red kites round Oxford. Beautiful birds
I have tried photographing fish/koi think I need a polarised filter as you get a lot of reflection

Good work. One of the guys at astrophotography does wildlife photography and getting that shot is extremely difficult!
I’ve not taken a photo for a number of years due to work :/ but astrophotography just takes too long when you have to get up in the morning! Sitting in -15DegC nights in France for a week solid or camping with ice in the camping kettle with icicles on the car..

You’re not selling the astrophotography there mate!
Some times I could go out and not get a single worthy photo. But then on the other hand when you are reviewing the photos and you have captured an awesome shot it’s rewarding. I’m just an enthusiast, been using an old D90 for many years so I’m looking forward to getting out with the new kit.

Fantastic photos.
Obviously I headed straight over to the pretty girls section, but some of the wildlife photos really are stunning.

Hahahaha.......yea everyone does.
I had to quit the girlie pictures, it was doing my wife's head in listening to me saying " beautiful smile, undo the top buttons a bit......I think that was the last time I got to do it
Safari is amazing and something everyone should try and do once even if you don't take a camera.
A few of the guys think I'm pushing photography sales, I'm really not, I couldn't give a monkeys if I sold another picture, in fact most of my picture sales are to friends and family, so zero sales I just give them away.
I really love the large format film photography, easy but not easy if you know what I mean, just so many steps to follow and you miss a step your toast........I guess a little like keeping Koi
Tomorrow me and my wife are going for a little day trip with my big large format camera, I have the picture in mind, just hope it's still there when we get there tomorrow.
