Goldfish Pond anyone?
Hello All,
Just wondering if anyone on here has a goldfish pond/tank? Specifically I am fascinated with common/shubunkin/comet ponds.
Would love to see some pictures of the ponds and the fish

Most people on here have koi ponds mate.
There is people on here who have aquarium s with goldfish. And shabumpkin s
I have one goldfish in my koi pond. Used to have a nice fancy fantail goldfish. Died at 24 years old.
Its mostly a koi pond site.
There is a bloke on here RS2000. He keeps both.
And won awards with the fancy goldfish.
If you pm him. Maybe he can talk to you more.
As he is an expert on them. Don't give up.

I have a couple of goldfish and a koi/goldfish hybrid. The hybrids is the reason most don't mix the two. If you get fry and raise them, people really want a garauntee that they are koi.
I like the idea of my goldfish in a planted top pond as part of the filtration system for the koi, but we'll see how things go. Look at The Pond Advisor on youtube. He has a nice planted goldfish pond.

I'm the one who's kept Fancy Goldfish all my life but am giving up now and moving to Koi.
Have my last 2 fish, Show Quality Broadtail Moors up for sale and after they've gone that will be it.
There is someone else who's got into Fancy Goldfish, Crazy Chris, and he's recently built a Ranchu Pond which can be found here along with pics of it completed:

Here's one of my 2 male Moors:

If you want the Moors Johnathan they are yours.... for free mate.
But it does mean you'll have to leave the North for a few hours.

Guessed it might not be straight forward for ya, but after your tough year last year, thought these might bring you some luck for 2020.
The offer stays open until they sell. Have listed them on eBay now, had a lot of interest but everyone wants me to post them but I don't wanna risk it.
They need to go now 'cos Kitchen is getting done in a couple of weeks and got nowhere else to put them.

Have you PM chris dont know if he would pick the email up but first rate owner for them

Wow thanks for the response everyone! I will take a look at all the links posted above. awesome.
I love koi, but also really appreciate some nice goldfish. I especially like the plain "boring" goldfish..something appealing to me about how a fish that costs 50c could grow into quite a large specimen.
@RS - that is a lovely black moor, a proper fancy!
Anyone got any pics of their goldies?
Cheers - Mark.

Yes, put them on eBay in the end, had loads of people wanting them posted but I refused, then someone just bought them on buy it now and collecting next weekend. Wish they hadn't paid by PayPal though as you get no protection when items are collected in person, should have just put cash only.

The Moors may still be available....
The guy who bought them is due to collect this weekend. He messages me through eBay and says he's had to take on an extra fish from a neighbour in an emergency so only has room for 1 of them now and could I refund him 50% of the cost and he'll come round and choose the best one.
I said no, they both go together.
Then he came back and said ok, I've bought a new tank for them but it will take 6 weeks to cycle and I will collect them once its cycled (he didn't ask if that was ok).
I went back to him and said I don't mind holding them for longer as long as he is genuine and definitely collects them.
Now he's come back and said its unfair for him to mess me around so can he cancel the order and get a refund.
In the meantime I've turned 3 people away for them. So annoying.
