i've had various size reef tanks over the years, but smaller volumes are harder to control parameters.
    temp, alkalinity,calcium,magnesium ect...

100 liters is fairly restrictive for fish, but fine to start with.
Good luck with your new tank, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to send me a pm

ultimate reef is a good shout, depends where you are in relation to shops but there are some very good dedicated marine only shops dotted around the country,

thinking of changing my marine tank to brackish or planted next, as I want to relocate it and decorate

bit of a trip but there's a good one at Clifton moor York, ocean corals and reptiles,

they started marine only and have grown and grown over the last few years, went into reptiles as owner loves them and then with latest move to bigger shop they added freshwater.

you will find on UR that you can post questions and get sensible answers from the majority of users

you will also see how mad and presumably wealthy some folks are with 10,000+ ltr marine tanks in their homes, sometimes in specially made extensions,

buy small and grow big for corals and avoid the stupid hype of apparently rare morphs of zoas etc, people went the same as tulip crazy for a while

oh and some things are very toxic if you mess about with them in the wrong way, so research well, don't be a daily fail story after picking up a Darwin Award for sticking a coral under the hot tap in the sink and making a deadly aerosol

I want corals think they are beautiful but it's a scary thing to try and get my head around koi and filter set ups can be daunting but nothing on a reef set up . Littles legs obviously wants a memo clown and wants the anenome to go with it but they harm other fish and people just need to make sure I put all the research in to this that I can . Told her there is no chance of getting a dory blue tang untill we get a much bigger tank

don't bother get a blue tang, they are renowned for bringing itch as they seem to die and bring disease very easily,

if you get an anemone fish, one needs to be much bigger than the other, get them after the rest of the stock as they are territorial and don't expect them to host in a hurry, I had some for years that preferred the sump guard than a couple of bubble tips in the tank,

Would you suggest a fish only to start and build from there ?

LPS and softies are dead easy, I never water change etc just top up.

the inverts that make up the CUC are often harder to keep than the fish,
