    It’s a good food RS. I’m feeding mine the version with garlic in at the moment. Will swap to SHBalance once the water temp hits 15.
    7500 litres
    Filtreau combi with uv.
    Some koi

    I haven't used it yet really but the first few feeds fish have enjoyed. Dainichi uses it and helps with feedback to the owner of FD to ensure its to the standard required which is good enough for me.

    I have talked myself out of spending out on top grade stuff, tried Saki Hikari Multi Season and Balance last year, still have some left which will be used in a mix when temps. are right. On the last bit of Hikari Wheatgerm now, as it warms up they're getting what they had for years in the past, Hikari Staple and Friend, I have bought on offers, 20Kg - 10Kg of each was under 100.

    I don't rate the Saki Multi Season personally, probably nothing wrong with it just that I didn't witness anything special whilst using it. It does not cloud the water though which is good, and there's less fish waste compared to other high end foods.

    I also had problems with my fancy goldfish whilst feeding them Hikari Wheatgerm. Colours lost vibrancy, the fish seemed less active (winter time, but tank was indoors and never went below 15C) and there was increased swim bladder issues whilst feeding it that I didn't experience with other foods. Had no issues with Staple but didn't use it much. Hikari Gold was good (again, Fancy Goldfish, not tried on Koi).

    Likewise I din't see the worth of Saki Hikari, I don't have show fish, most of mine are OAPs like me although they ate it readily. I use Hikari Gold in my grow on tank currently mixed with Saki Hikari MS and they're doing well on it, but when the SH has gone I'll be getting something else - in smaller pellets - I only use large in the pond.

    I think my favourite foods at the moment, based on the condition of the fish at the end of the appropriate season:
    * Hakiri Gold
    * NT Labs Wheatgerm + garlic

    The Hakiri wheatgerm was good, they ate it but the NT Labs seemed as good. Although we'll have to wait until the pond warms to see how well they start the season.

    Thinking of trying some of the Takazumi range, spoke to Queni Koi today and was told the Takazumi is 'very popular' anybody used it?

    I used Takazumi Growth a couple of years back. Little too oily for my liking, it left an oily film on the surface. I haven't got a skimmer, so it was very obvious. Fish liked it well enough though.

    I'll be sticking with Aqua Source All Season until water gets to about 15 degrees and then on to the Saki Balance. The Saki is the one food where, after a short period, I've been able to definitely notice an improvement in colour and skin quality.
