Question about food ingredients
Guys
My pond is nearly 2 years old and all is good, For the last 12 months I have been buying my fish food from a local guy here in Phuket who has his own fish farm (Winly is the food brand name) I've been paying £70 for a 12 kg bag. I just noticed on Lazada (a kind of Thai eBay) that is very popular here in Thailand that they have a promotion for Tenryu Maintenance for 2 x 12 kg bags for $40 .................yes £40 quid for 24 kilos of fish food. Now I'm a sucker for a bargain so before I jump at the offer I want to ask the gang what do they pay for there koi food in the UK. I actually went and bought a small 4 kg bag just to see if they like it......Below is a video of them feeding on this new formula ............they seem to like it

There are lots of reviews on Lazada all written in Thai but my wife says everyone says its a good product

Hi Neil,
Koi looking well greedy buggers and they seem to love the food.
I pay about £60 odd pounds for 15 kg osw from Coppens who I allways use, maybe £69 cant remember exactly.
I have seen and used growth Coppens at about £44 for 15 kg and it was fine.
If the koi like and eat it ok and there is no dust or smell from it does it have an expiry date?
I know a lot on here use top end food but I have used Coppens for years now and find it fine.
So, I would go for it mate if no good you havnt a lot to loose.John

To some degree you get what you pay for, but not strictly always.
Have a look at the ingredients and compare them to a well known top brand such as Saki Hikari.
Usually the first ingredient listed will be the main ingredient so you'd generally want to look for White Fish Meal or such like. If the first 1 or 2 ingredients are fillers then I personally would not buy.
In the UK you'll pay about £170 for 10kg / 15kg of Saki Hikari.

They certainly love the food. They are auto fed 3 times a day and tipbits whenever any of our family are around the pond. We now also have about 10 gold fish and maybe 100 plus tiny little black fish with multi colored tails. Pond now looks and feels very natural
