    Koi not eating there staple

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar been feeding my koi the Queni koi premium growth during warmer months and have been for around 2/3 years this year they have really not taken a liking to it after 15minutes pretty much 90% still left floating in the pond. Yet if I put koi treat mealworms/pupae etc in itís gone in seconds and if I make up a pearl barley mix with garlic and clay same results gone in just a few minutes.
Obvious thing seems to be to try a new food just wanted a few other peoples thoughts ?

    Cheers

    John

what temperature are you at, and how old is the food?

mine stopped eating from a 6kg bag of japan mix i only had opened a couple of months before.
there wasn't much left, so i opened a new sealed 15kg bag of japan mix and they were straight on it...
and i'd only feed high protein growth food above 20C

If you have moved some on they may just be stressed from the netting of others, may need to just settle down??

Try soaking the food mate so it sinks and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks gaz, I wish I had of tried that just out of curiosity but I had already chucked the remainder of it in the bin!
I fed the queni koi wheat germ this morning and they eat that no problem at all, maybe other food had just gone stale Koi not eating there staple
