Feeder for small pond
Hi I have a small pond at 5000ltr I have a decent filter now a Draco drum with a good 50ltr k1, the food has been ramped up nicely and still going, currently there eating 80/90g of food a day.
any recommendations on an auto feeder that dishes small amounts? I do 4 feeds a day at about 20g each, but 20 is about max that they want, I wanted to then up the intervals to 5 then 6 etc
was looking at an xclear but was out of stock so got a superfish…I sent it back when I saw it did 35g min, can anyone recommend a feeder that will cater for smaller ponds/feeds?
cheers

Iv just brought the aqua forte auto fish feeder. To my knowledge it’s the new updated Xclear. However I think it’s absolutely spot on. You can feed up to 24 times a day and each feed can range from 1 second to 600 seconds. So if you want 20g then I’d work out how long this would take and it would be ideal. I’m really impressed with it.

Aqua Forte is the one to go for I have that on my grow on, you can almost set that down to 1g. The Superfish is complete rubbish for most situations, I do have one on my main pond but I have 32 fish to 61cm so I can just about live with 35.24g (I've measured it) on the lowest setting.

ok seems my worries with the superfish was right! Cheers good info 👍
what’s the difference between the Aqua forte and the xclear? They look identical, the hopper looks the same and the controller even the write up..but quite a big difference in cost? Assume not as everyone so far recommended the Aqua forte 🧐

My aqua forte mentions xclear in the manual. I think they are the same product. I’ll photo it tmoro

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
