XClear Vs Superfish fishfeeder
Hi,
Looking for a feeder.
Any difference in these and any one better than the other for some reason?
Cheers.

There's is one big difference between the 2, I have them both. The Xclear food quantity is set by seconds the feeder dispenses, from 1 to 600 seconds which is perfect for my grow on, you can set it right down to dispense almost 1g, which is perfect for getting exact quantities of food into the pond.
The Superfish has a 1 to 10 range to set food quantity, on the smallest setting of 1 it dispenses approximately 16g of food, setting 2 32g of food and so on which is completely useless if you have small/only a few fish. I use it on my main pond with 22 fish ranging from 35cm to 75cm so it's fine for me.
The Xclear is vastly superior IMHO.
If you go for the Xclear there is a newer model with 3 buttons that's a hell of a lot easier to program than the old 1 button model in your pic.
Also Aqua Forte do exactly the same model as the Xlear.
EDIT: I've just tested the Superfish on setting #1 and it actually dispenses 35.24g of Koyoshi 4mm which I am now using. All feeds will be slightly different depending on size/weight etc. but that's a ridiculous amount for the smallest feed if you have small/just a few fish. When I can be bothered I'll test on all 10 settings.

They both have a good design for keeping the food dry and no dead spots for mouldy food to accumulate. But as MalN says above the controller functions differ so depends how you want to use it.
I have an XClear which I got to replace my Profi feeder when the motor went. I prefer the Controller on the xclear as you have complete control to set feed times exactly where you want them and the exact quantity you want to feed each time. It’s actually better than the Profi feeder controller where you have to tell it total quantity and feed number then it divides it up for you- means it’s much harder to predict the exact time of day they will be fed if you want to watch them, and you get feeds overnight which not everybody wants.2016 new 6000 gallon pond

I have the xclear but mine was branded as aqua forte. I had it in my grow on I have used it with fry food, 2mm 3mm and 6mm and it has been flawless. Only improvement I would make is that it was WiFi controllable and have a feed button for ad hoc feeds.
