Hahahaa yes it is a tad isn't it!!

Temps are dropping quick over on the east coast too, I'm struggling to keep the pond at 14/15, unless I put heat on all day I think, that I'm not considering yet - the fish are still active and eating

Can't believe how mild ambient temps have been, last night probably the coldest so far with a low here of 6C.

Covered pond with 25mm polycarb on 29th October.

ASHP had been set to maintain pond at 15C up to 2nd November when I reduced down to 14.5C.

It is now 11th November and the ASHP hasn't been on a single time, last night pond fell to 14.5C so I suspect the heater will kick in at some point over the next couple of nights.

Target temperature for Winter is 12C, so still have head room and will gradually lower by 0.5C after each heat pump run to maintain stability and keep the bills down.

Currently feeding about 60 grams per day, usually with one feed but sometimes split into 2 smaller feeds.

That's a good effort that, mine is dropping a bit now, I have my new cover on, but still need to finish jigging the window covers which no longer fit - 1 down 2 to go...

Currently holding at 15 degrees - via 4 hours of EV tariff night-time ashp

Pond is now 5.5 and the fish are staying low. Can’t wait for the rest of the enclosure to be finished. Another couple of weeks to go. Feel so sorry for the Koi. If it warms up a bit over the next few days I may give them a few prawns just to let them know I still love them

Hahahaa, but Damn... that's horribly cold

Feeling lucky to have my ASHP, real bright sunny day, so pushing mine up a little - hope to be back to 15 degrees again shortly <fingers crossed>

Never mind your woolly hat what about the fish :-)
Only the insulated roof and a few temporary plastic wrappings on the new Koi room but really pleased that it is staying just above 6. Still not offering to get in though

Down to 3.9deg. The boys and girls are huddled together. Out of interest does anyone else have an Eazypod and heat? What heater do you use?
