Wildlife pond is 16 today, main pond will remain at 23C for a couple of months.
7.15 and its dark already.

What a chilly night it's been, with air temp down to 2.9°c this morning. Pond holding up well though.
Temp at 13.2°c
Time 08:001630 Gallon raised pond
4" 'Avenue' bottom drain
Estro sieve
Econobead EB60 bead filter
Sequence 18000 pump, 6000 pump on skimmer line
Elecro 2kW in-line heater
Evolution Aqua 70 air pump

and some nice koi

Agreed, first FROST this season.
2.0 d here, pond at 13d baby tank down to 17 as I am lowering their temp too.

I'm down to 12.2 today.
I noticed some of you have commented about trying to avoid temperatures between 10 and 16, should I remove my cover until the water gets below 10?

My temp has also dropped
Current temp is 12.7°c
Time 10:35
Just done my weekly backwash and it's not been as bad as previous weeks, fish seem to be slowing down a bit now.
I haven't put my covers on yet John, but won't be long now I guess, hope to maintain 10°c.1630 Gallon raised pond

Why avoid between 10 -16 d? never heard that before....
I've always kept mine at 12d and then 6d when it went really really bad at -15Blog, Koi, Everything.
