    Great List .... I've added three pipe connector abbreviations that I use all the time and put the list in Alphabetical order for easier reference:

    ASHP =Air Source Heat Pump
    BD = Bottom Drain
    BGD = Bacterial Gill Disease
    BV = Ball Valve
    C = Calcium
    C/H = Central Heating
    C/U = Consumer Unit ( fitted with overload breakers)
    CC = cubic centimeter or ml (milliliter) - 1cc = 1ml
    CL = Chlorine
    CO2 = Carbon Dioxide
    CT = Chloramine T
    CU = Copper
    D/S = Digital Thermostat
    DPD4 = tablets for testing Chlorine content
    FE = Iron
    FMG = Formalin and Malachite Green
    FTC = Flanged Tank Connector
    GH = General Hardness
    GSHP =Ground Source Heat Pump (as above but install cost very high)
    H2O = Water
    HMA = Heavy Metal Removal
    HP = Hydrogen Peroxide ( to neutralise a PP reaction, usually 6%)
    KH = Carbonate Hardness
    KHV = Koi Herpes Virus
    M/V = Motorised Zone Valves
    NH3 = Ammonia
    NO2 = Nitrite
    NO3 = Nitrate
    O2 = Oxygen
    O3 = Ozone
    ORP = Oxidation Reduction Potential
    PH = Power of Hydrogen
    PHS = Proflavin Hemisulphate
    PO4 = Phosphate
    PP = Potassium Permanganate
    PPM = Parts Per Million = mg/l - 1ppm = 1mg/l PPM is the same as mg/l for most purposes?
    RCBO = Residual circuit Breaker with Overload ( with earth Trip Device )
    RCD = Residual Circuit Breaker (earth trip device only)
    RO = Reverse Osmosis
    S/PV = Solar PhotoVoltaic ( Electric collector panels)
    S/Th = Solar thermal ( Heat Collector Panels )
    ST = Sodium Thiosulphate (dechlorinator)
    SVC = Spring Viraemia of Carp
    TDS = Total Dissolved Solids
    TTC = Threaded Tank Connector
    UV = Ultra Violet

    You could also split this list into different sections for e.g. water chemistry, heating. sexist comedy , etc.

    These type of info lists are great for newbies ... I've spent ages making a few information posts myself in the past.

    The trouble is after a week or so they just get forgotten about and nobody uses them anymore ... that's why I've stopped making them myself now ...

    I see this has been pinned as a sticky.

    I've spent ages writing helpful posts for newbies that never get "stickied" ... how is it decided that posts should be stickied ...?

    Are the one's I've written just not good enough? ...

    Aha ... didn't know that ... I spent ages on some of them to help newbies etc. and had great feedback on them ... I got so fed up watching them disappear so quickly that lately I've just stopped writing them.

    I'll repost the best of them with more relevant titles and up to the minute info ....

    Drum sensor level question

    Quick question regarding drum filters specifically draco medius or solum

    Manufacturer recommends sensor to be 5mm under running water level
    My question is why only 5mm surely u can have it lower

    What do you run yours at

    It's only a question don't shoot me haha
