Always some disaster waiting to happen...
Noticed the pond looked a bit low and bubbly a couple of days ago, so went to check the filters...
open the filterhouse door and there was an inch of water all over the floor
after some swearing and shutting off of pumps and mopping up with the pond vac, it turned out a plastic 1/2" x 15mm pushfit had sheared off inside the 1/2" valve to the reverse R.O unit and water was pissing out everywhere.
I had a spare luckily, but i'm going to try and find a different type as it still doesn't look very strong, even though it's supposed to be rated to 10 bar

That's quite a shocking breakage, you would think those joints are bullet proof and very long lasting.
Someone else (Samp?) recently posted of a disaster caused by a hozelock failure on the top-up line, but total shear of the pressure pipe pushfit valve seems really unlucky.
