    Algae advice

Anyone else have problems with algae peeling off the walls in sheets and blocking up filters/skimmer ?
Any product that can break is down a bit ?
    It's like seaweed.
Every spring I have this problem but this year seems especially bad.

    Hi Cobrakoi,
you say it happens each springtime, its probably associated with longer hours and stronger sunshine offering increase warmth and good growing conditions, are you sure its not blanket weed? RESOLVE works very well breaking down excessive blanket weed, filter floss is also a very good product placed in sheets in your system to help catch all of the small strands....... remove and clean the floss a couple of times a week whilst the RESOLVE breaks the weed / Algae down.
There are no doubt other products that work well too, Resolve will also help reduce your phosphates which if not kept controlled will cause you ongoing weed issues....

Have a s search on here. Someone was using a sludge treatment after blanket weed treatment and it was working well.
