bigger diameter pipe means less back pressure, back pressure equals more strain on the pump and less air.

I run 8mm on 60's no issues. If I was going up 100plus I'd be looking at 10mm, which is still cheaply available as workshop rubber airline like the 8mm. The pinch point is where you connect to your airline via a brass connector etc. as that is always smaller that the diameter of the pipe.
At 80lp you're somewhere in the middle, so maybe 10mm to where it splits then drop down to 8mm?2660 Gallons. 4" Bottom Drain and Skimmer. Draco Solum 16 Drum. Anoxic Filtration. Air lift returns.

I took off the brass connecter on the pump and connected air line straight on the pump with a jubilee clip, works great.
Not sure what size it is on the Jebao pump.John

Yeah i don't have the brass on either just like a rubber boot .
Need to get a 2 way valve to so split the air to filter and pond . But As always with me money is the big factor the 8mm seems so much more expensive for a 8 x 4 mm split 5 6 quid for a 8x8mm split 25 quid
Wanting 3 air stones on back wall of pond so will need valves on each to get equal flow
Just things like that all seem to add up
If 8mm is that much better and needed then so be it but if 4mm will do the job

Thinking running 8mm to the filter as want 80ish % of air in there and reducing to 4mm for pond as not after loads of air and movement

Did wonder if the work shop stuff was safe to use . Cheers mate . It's the control valves that are the money and struggling to find a 8mm inlet and 8mm out let all seem to drop sam found me one 20 quid but then another 10er postage and it wasn't next day or out think it was like 5/7days

Maybe try the HGV hard-line stuff then. Dirt cheap. Built for lorry brakes so will last forever.
Plenty of people use it, but I'm not sure what they use to convert from the airpump to that.
Hopefully someone can help with that.
