UK - what waste pipe, mine keeps splitting?
Hi all,
I have an Oase Filtoclear. I regularly take out a rolled-up waste pipe to exit water from my filter. This keeps splitting, it's worse in winter when it's less flexible. Are there any 38mm pipes that won't split when curled and uncurled? I'm not rough with this, and it's not tightly rolled up. My one is useless and has now split so badly I need to replace it.
Thanks, Tim

This is the quality stuff that lasts:

I haven't shopped around so you might be able to find it cheaper.
Here's a closer look at the same pipe. It is slightly ribbed on the outside but smooth on the inside:

Note that this type of pipe can be difficult to roll and unroll in cold weather. It tends to want to keep the shape you lay it in after a few months.

For hoses that have to be continuously unrolled and rolled, I use reinforced "lay flat" hose. Don't buy a cheap one, they develop pinholes. I don't have any experience with this one from B&Q but it looks like the one I've had for years. Other sizes are available if the 25 mm diameter of this one is too small and you can't use ingenuity to make it fit.

I've used the generic version of the one RS2000 posted up, bought from discount leisure products, dirt cheap and just as the good as the branded stuff.
