Sieive screen blocking
Hi
Now my sieves have been in use for years but for some reason this year the screen is blocking up and filling the chamber. Never had this before any ideas welcome.

I had one do that.
My advice is get a nail brush, get some drum screen cleaner, or some white vinegar, and give it a good scrub. When doind so, you need to brush it across the screen not up and down it. That should clean it.
If you can pull the screen out you'll probably find there is a buildup of bio film on the underside. If you can clear that the screen should revert back to normal operation.

I give mine a run over with a hose when I’m cleaning the nexus and am topping back up, likewise a good scrub with a brush first, if I don’t the same happens to me after a few weeks

Took screen out and just hit it with pressure washer seems to have done the trick. I am now covered in crap.

Someone else has suggested covering the top of a sieve to block out light to slow algae growth?
Covered in crap isn’t ideal but funny if it’s someone else13,243 gallons, Filtreau HF30’s K1 capacity of 1,400l, Bakki Shower, BHM and understanding wife
