Hope everyone ok after the massive thunderstorms last night

We had some exceptionally big heavy thunder, lightning and rain last night. Being mostly young ones, it's the first time they've probably seen lightning in an open pond.

Fish a little scatty this morning, starving (shows they've been active) and I think generally happy to see the sun come up.

Got away fairly lightly down here in the storm. I had a few pipe fittings sitting on a wooden pallet on the top of my IBC bio chamber and surprisingly they all stayed there. I thought they'd have been all over the back garden this morning. The only thing that I could see that moved was a garden fork that was holding down a bulk bag over a couple of big tubs full of pipe fittings. There was a CL10 Clarity protein skimmer still standing upright on the patio beside the fence. Thought that would have gone flying as it hasn't got any water in it.

It was pretty windy here today so moved the fittings on the bio chamber into the shed now.

Not heard of any issues in the Midlands mate but another challenge from nature.

Today there have been very high winds so keepers check your ponds for debris, blockages and movement of anything lofty such as pond roofs, filters. / showers etc…

    Cheers
