Thread: Hungry fish

Never seen the fish so hungry before..... there getting fed 3 times a day sometimes with an odd treat given too yet they still follow us round the pond mouths open looking hopeful all the time, not seen this before, i guess another year has passed with some growth and now all of them have a great appetite which is good but going to go through some food at this rate, i switched them from Aquasoure balance to Aquasource high growth a few weeks back and its made a big difference to their appetite it seems....

Mine have been on 6x 12g feeds of Saki Balance for a while now. Just noted my first Nitrite spike of the season yesterday, so will cut back slightly for a few days. They've certainly got an appetite

I have just weighed that out in a jug and thats a litre jug full..... maybe i am under feeding mine, i reckon about half of that i am feeding.... I have not done it before but this year i will be concentrating on water temps and growth,(and water keeping of course) in fairness i have just brought mine along steady over the past 4 years but a few have not grown as much as i would of liked, got 3 lined up to go into a grow on tank over the winter via a mate.....
