Young talents and passionate people
Over the weekend I visited my local HINPYOKAI for the first time in decades, and through social networking I met a few young people there who are just like I used to be. Or rather, a lot more skilled than me.
Both appear to have been raised from low-cost TOSAI.
Unfortunately, the results couldn't beat them, but they did seem to get pretty close to the rich man's KOI.
He said KOHAKU was a male and stopped the colour enhancer a little too late to catch up with the bleaching of his skin.
He saw this as a further challenge for next year.
The increase in body size is considerable and feeding techniques, such as the application of subcutaneous fat, have resulted in a finish that is comparable to that of a breeder's mud pond.
I am planning to visit his house next time.

Both lovely fish, but not really sure what the point of this post is when there is no facts of information behind it.
The Daily pond temp thread
A bit worried about a couple of Koi in the pond, don't think they've ever been so cold for so long...
