Bottom Drain Aeration - winter
Should I turn down or switch off aeration via my Bottom Drain in Winter? There is no other aeration.
All 3 BDs have aeration and I have run it religiously through the summer at a high output.
However as winter sets in and the water temperatures inevitably cool ( Im still at about 14 at the moment), would you reduce or even switch off the air supply ? I am not having issues like Hippo with an adverse vibration effecting the fish (as far as I know ), just wondering as to what was best practice ?

Horses for course mate . Some people are only having air going 1 hour a day , some don't bother at all and some run 24/7 . For a running Costs personal I would turn atleast 2 off but that's only my opinion. ( do they have independent pumps? Or swop over in winter for a small pump ) . .
For some it's fish behaviour. FREDDYBOY if he every turned his air off the fish would flick off the dome until he put it back on !

The Daily pond temp thread
A bit worried about a couple of Koi in the pond, don't think they've ever been so cold for so long...
