Salamander tap boost feedback
Early this year i started to suffer with a build up of fines below the drum, i was convinced the drum seal had split or deteriorated allowing waste to get back into the filtration tank, after speaking with Burtons (Paul and Andy were very helpful) it became apparent that it could actually be low mains pressure causing the spray bar to be ineffective, anyhow my plumber measured the mains pressure at the spray bar and it was average to low but below the spec needed for the spraybar going by Burtons, i fitted an inline Salamander tap boost as close to the spraybar as possible and its made a huge difference i also have the spray bar nozzles pointing towards the back of the waste chute as opposed directly down into the waste chute, spray bar pressure and nozzle pattern greatly improved, the fines are now much less and much happier now.....

Interesting, I get some crap in the clean side of my drum as well running off the mains and I don't run it full wack to avoid using too much water and prevent the chance of the hose splitting (its already bulging in a couple of places!) but maybe this is why!

Hi mate,
unsure of your drum but if your able to control the flow to the spray bar i would encourage the flow to be powerful as this will help to evacuate the crap off your mesh into the waste chute more efficiently..... i was amazed at the difference and reduction of crap in the clean side..... everyone said its impossible for crap to get out of your drum through the mesh and back into your clean side, trust me it can do and does if your spray bar is not working efficiently and your positioning of the spray bar is not correct, atb Steve.2200 gallons, infinity window,
